Honeymoon

For our Honeymoon Jack's parents gave us and amazing trip to Jamaica.

The resort
Bedroom
We stayed seven days in a Butler suite at The Jewel Dunn's River Falls all-inclusive resort. it was beautiful there.

The room: Beautiful. Spacious. 2 balconies. A bar that was free and always stocked. A jacuzzi tub. Need I say more? Oh, and every night they would turn down the bed and there would always be a cool animal made out of towels and a design made out of flowers.

The Amenities: 2 pools, 1 with a pseudo waterfall and the other with a piano bar. A pier. A good size beach. A spa. A dance club. A stage. A life size chess board...  We rotated between the beach and the pool most days. The pool was nice because there was a swim up bar. I could read my book (Fifty Shades of Grey) in the pool and just grab a drink whenever I chose. The beach was nice too though. There were cabanas all along the beach you could sit in. The water was clear so you could see the fish at your feet and keep an eye out for sharks : / Didn't see any, thank goodness. The spa was nice too. Jack and I enjoyed our first couples massage there. It was very nice and relaxing.
The Food: There were 6 restaurants, I think. The cafe, the pizza bar, an italian restaurant, a japanese steakhouse and 1 upscale dining option. Jamaica is known for jerk chicken and let me tell you, Jack and I are still talking about it. We frequented the cafe and pizza bar mostly because we loved the jerk chicken wraps and jerk chicken calzones. They were amazing!
At night we usually ate at the italian restaurant because they had these amazing crab stuffed mushroom caps. So yummy. Although, one night we did go to the Japanese steakhouse for dinner. Met a few nice couples, 2 of which were returning back to the resort for their 20th anniversaries. Kinda cool. Guess Jack and I will have to start saving if we plan to go back for our 20th.

It was a wonderful trip. Beautiful. Quiet. Relaxing. Fun.

Thank You Jan & Wendell!
